Kids, TV: Calorie encounter

The more time elementary school students spend watching television, the more junk food they consume, a group of Harvard researchers reported in the April Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. For each hour in front of the TV, the kids consumed an average of 167 extra calories, about what’s in a McDonald’s ice-cream cone or four Chicken McNuggets. Wow! Who is giving all these kids McDonalds and why? This is pretty intersting…
